Terris Dior Hightower is a performance therapist, sport scientist, and foot & ankle researcher
from the United States. He spent 2.5 years as a performance therapist and sport scientist with
the Washington Wizards & Washington Mystics of the NBA & WNBA respectively. He also spent
1 year as the head performance coach & assistant athletic trainer for the Capital City Go-Go of
the NBA G-League in his last season in 2022. He has a BS in Athletic Training degree from the
University of West Florida, an MS in Sport Science degree from American Public University, and
is currently finishing up a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) at Elon University for 2025.
He currently teaches in an adjunct professor role in the Kinesiology Department at the
University of North Carolina A&T State University and consults with NBA teams regarding
basketball-specific foot & ankle pathomechanics. Terris is a passionate speaker and life-long
learner who loves uncovering thought holes in applied biomechanics and physiotherapy
practices to improve athlete care and outcomes.
