BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE
Chronic pain is a widespread condition that most healthcare providers will encounter over the course of their careers. Treating patients with chronic pain is challenging for many reasons. Some clinicians feel unprepared to treat patients with chronic pain due to a lack of training (Polacek et al. 2020).
This paper utilizes evidence to provide a guide for clinicians to better understand and communicate an interprofessional, personalized plan for people with chronic pain.
